This is a handsome tree with a beautiful, orange-red autumn colour.  It grows narrow and upright in its early stages but in later years forms a broad, egg-shaped crown of about 10 metres and can reach up to 15 metres in height.  This tree prefers a sunny or semi-shaded position in moist, well-drained soil.  It tolerates slight acidity and is wind-tolerant. This cultivar bears no seeds because it is a male tree.
