Quercus robur 'Fastigiate Koster' - Oak
This is a narrow, upright growing variety of the common oak. This tree reaches between 15 and 20 metres in height and can be 3 to 5 metres wide. Branching often starts low on the trunk and because the branches grow upright, the tree has a pleasing, closed shape. It is perfect for narrow streets and has no problems with surfacing. It prefers a humus rich, moist, but well-drained soil that allows the roots to grow deep. In autumn, the green foliage turns yellow and egg-shaped acorns appear.
