Tree Ties & Guying
Greenleaf offers a comprehensive range of tree ties and guying products for protecting new tree plantings. Extensive research has resulted in the launch of the new ‘Arborguy’ tree guying system. This patented design, unique to Greenleaf provides fast easy installation.
The Arborguy anchor has been designed to be as streamlined as possible for driving into compacted subsoils, whilst combining superb ‘groundlock’ technology for secure tree anchoring. Testing shows that forces in excess of 1340kgs can be withstood by just one anchor driven into subsoil from ground level.
If specifying plastic or rubber tree ties, ensure these are checked regularly during the maintenance period and removed as soon as the tree has established its own anchorage.
An alternative for small trees is to specify our biodegradable tree ties: Naturetie, is made from hessian and will break down naturally over time as the tree establishes its own anchorage. In exposed areas, it may be necessary to retie trees during the maintenance period.
